Discover Your Ikigai
What is Ikigai?
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that roughly translates to "a reason for being" or "a reason to wake up in the morning"
It is a term that encompasses the idea of finding joy, fulfillment, and purpose in life.
The concept suggests that everyone has an Ikigai, a unique combination of what they love, what they are good at, what the world needs, and what they can be paid for.
The four components of Ikigai are:
1. What you love (your passion): what brings joy and fulfillment
2. What you are good at (your vocation): recognize your skills and strengths
3. What the world needs (your mission): identify how to contribute to the world
4. What you can be paid for (your profession): sustain yourself financially
When these four elements intersect, they form your Ikigai – your sense of purpose and fulfillment in life. Finding your Ikigai involves introspection, self-discovery, and aligning your actions with your values and aspirations. It’s about living a life that is meaningful, balanced, and deeply satisfying.
